Larian Studios has released new screenshots for Baldur’s Gate III, showing the view of the city of forgotten kingdoms – the gates of Baldur. The city of the gates of Baldura is a megalopolis with streets labyrinths, alleys, temples and crowded with brothels, in which its own life boils, and stories related to the life of all local residents with whom you come across.

The city itself has become larger than all previous versions of this location. The streets that extend between the dangerous roads of the external city, the luxurious estates of the upper city and the dark alleys of the lower city, are populated by the rich galaxy of characters, each of which has its own unexplored stories.

" Crowds of people go everywhere. You can talk to almost any person, and he reacts to every detail", – Says Sven Vinka, creative director of Larian Studios. " In this sense, the city is very alive".

" One of the main features of the game is that such a level of credibility, immersion and complexity that would not be in other projects appeared in it", – Says the assistant screenwriter Crystal Ding. " It feels like you walk in a place where there are many, many people living in their real life".

Initially, Larian created a prototype "Gate Baldur" In the form of several small regions related by teleports, but by the middle of the development of the city decided to make some significant changes.

After the game is released, players will fall into "Gates of Baldur", consisting of three seamless regions of an open world. Regardless of whether you are studying underground crypts, wander around the chambers of the towering citadel or go down to the secret basements, there will be no visible loading screens to interrupt your passage.

"We spent on the city, I think, three, four times more effort than we planned initially, but the result, a feeling of walking around the city, is just a fantastic", – Says Vinka. "So what I was most afraid of when we started to make this game, it turned out to be what I am most proud of".
