Farworld Pioners release for PlayStation is postponed, developers solve problems

After the stormy launch of Farworld Pioneers on May 30, the game developer, Igloosoft, eliminated many discovered errors and problems. Despite the initial promise of the game to become a science fiction adventure-sandwich in the Terraria style, its release was marked by various problems, which led to mostly negative reviews in Steam. In recent development, Igloosoft announced a temporary delay in the debut of the game on PlayStation.

Igloosoft contacted Twitter to directly contact her players’ base, both current and potential, regarding the situation:

“Dear pioneers and future pioneers, we understand that the versions of Farworld Pioners for PC and Xbox have been launched with a number of problems, and we make every effort to rectify the situation as soon as possible. All updates for PCs will also appear in the version for Xbox a little later “.

They also clarified their decision to postpone the initially planned PlayStation release on June 14:

“We decided to temporarily postpone the planned PlayStation release on June 14 and soon announce a new release date. We are in debt to those who have already played and paid for the game, make a correction of the existing version of the game with priority. Although we would like to share fixed terms, we do not want to make promises that we cannot fulfill ”.

Having emphasized her commitment to solving problems, Igloosoft spoke about her constant efforts:

“We are a small team, and we need to make sure that our corrections are produced with proper testing to reduce the likelihood of new errors. We work without stopping to correct the main problems, improve AI and solve some of the common problems arising from the reviews of players. Thank you for your patience”.

Earlier, Igloosoft described in detail the main problems that are currently pursued by the game, including the problem behavior of NPC colonists, the drop of characters through the floors, instability in multi -user mode and a user interface that requires significant improvements. In particular, the problems with the NPC ranged from wandering in dangerous areas and improper use of beds to reaction in combat scenarios.

The developers recognized the complexity of these problems, making their solution to their main priority. At present, they are studying possible solutions to these problems, associating the problem of the character’s fall with the possible behavior of AI and changes in the loading of fragments. The instability of the multiplayer regime is also under close attention, and the team is working hard to identify the main reason.
