The collective lawsuit of investors due to the state of Cyberpunk 2077 became history

The collective lawsuit filed by American companies against CD Projekt due to the technical condition of the Cyberpunk 2077, finally resolved.

At the end of December 2020, it became known that the American law firm Rosen Law Firm decided to file a lawsuit against CD Projekt in connection with the then (and, accordingly, premiere) shortcomings of the game Cyberpunk 2077. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of investors, and the main accusation was that the Polish studio "made false and misleading statements and did not disclose that the Cyberpunk 2077 is essentially inconsistent on the consoles of Xbox and the PlayStation of the current [at that time] generation due to a huge number of errors".

And so, according to IGN, after three years from the moment the laws was filed, the final agreement was finally concluded in this case. CD Projekt published information about this in the report for investors:

Board CD Projekt S.A. With the registered office in Warsaw (company), it reports that on November 28, 2023 it received from a law firm representing a company in a group lawsuit in the United States, information on the decision of the United States in the Central California district on the final approval of a world agreement, t. e. Order on the final approval of a settlement agreement on a collective claim (“Resolution on the final approval of a settlement agreement”).

The decision on the final approval of a settlement agreement finally approves the terms of the settlement agreement on the group claim in the United States (which the company reported in detail in the current report No. 45/2021 of December 16, 2021. and current report No. 45/2021 of December 16, 2021. 5/2022 of January 28, 2022); terminates a group lawsuit in the United States, presented against the company and defendants.

However, it is worth noting that the Polish company, together with its insurer, was supposed to pay $ 1.85 million in favor of companies that filed a collective lawsuit. However, now a settlement agreement has been approved, which put an end to an almost three -year dispute.

Recall that the release of Cyberpunk 2077 will be held on December 10, 2020 on a PC, consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as (last year) on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
